This is a common question and here is my common answer.

How much food do you want to cook at one time?
Do you want the "romance" of tending a fire? Or...
Do you want to get some rest while the meat is cooking?
How experienced are you with smoking/grilling/BBQing?
Are you mechanically inclined enough to build a UDS?

Start with all of that, and someone will give you an informed opinion, not just an endorsement of their favorite cooker
