I owned one before that had the slide dampers, booger bear to control. I let the Bbq guru do all the work. I had mine custom made with a 3/4 valve for the guru and the 1 1/4 valve for natural operation. I love my vault, 2nd brisket cook ever, won 1st this weekend in brisket at a Houston rodeo qualifier. George @pitmaker won 2nd brisket at the San Antonio rodeo cookoff 300+ teams. The vaults and safes are brisket and rib Cookin fools! Still prefer my comp chicken cooked on a UDS.
