Question for people who have this type of setup:

My offset has a large barrel, and a pretty thick firebox. To get my temps up high enough in the barrel, the top of my firebox is really, REALLY hot. In a design like this, wouldn't that make the heat in the chamber too hot to cook anything, except maybe chickens?
