Here's my recipe that I posted in my appley butts thread. It definitely fits the description of creamy sweet slaw that you mentioned. It is fantastic with pulled pork:

  • 1 head green cabbage, finely chopped and pressed to remove excess water
  • 2 carrots, peeled and grated
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups broccoli, finely chopped
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. Toss all vegetables together in a large bowl. In a separate bowl whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, sugar, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, dill, salt, and pepper. Pour mayonnaise mixture over cabbage mixture and toss thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 2-3 hours before serving.
