Default Lunch: Luling City Market

I was driving back to Houston from San Antonio yesterday. As I passed th exit for Luling, I looked at my watch and it was 11:35a. I figured with a little luck I could slide into town and hit City Market before the lunch rush. I knew I couldn't make it to Lockhart in time.

I've eaten there a number of times and it is great Texas BBQ. It wasn't too busy when I got there so I chatted up the pitmasters while I picked out my lunch eats. Brick pits, post oak smoke. Life is good.
"Houston is a wretched little town composed of about twenty shops, and a hundred huts, dispersed here and there, among trunks of felled trees. It is infested with methodists and ants." -Emmanuel Domenech, Catholic Missionary, 1848
