Also, your fellow competitors will most likely be willing to help and answer questions. At the competitions around here the rep usually asks for rookie teams to identify themselves at the cooks meeting. Raise your hand. Then the rep will usually ask for teams willing to mentor the rookie teams. Take note of who is willing to do this, and take advantage of the opportunity!
