No doggie bags? There'd be a freakin' riot if they tried that at the events I've judged. Some judges "live" for the baggies.
The no talking is normal. The "cleansing the palate" is normal.
I do like #10 but figure the odds of it being followed.
How much do the judges pay for the opportunity to judge? (I'm not kidding, a lot of events now charge the judges - especially for the rib contest.)
The scoring looks bit screwy but it seems to automatically weight the taste and tenderness where they belong - smell?? That's a new one! Checking for Kingsford lighter fluid, I guess.
