With all credit to Thirdeye, my first attempt at his Bacon Potato pie.
Came out well, but well below the very high bar set buy Thirdeye.
Takes MUCH longer than expected to cook.
Instead of doing it in a cast iron pan, I wanted to drain the fat, so I used a pie/cake pan that I poked hundreds of holes into for the fat to drain.
I placed this into a half tray on top of ceramic bricks
And the final results
Needed more cook time, more cheese. But it was not greasy.
