In with a turkey...
Ringing in the New Year with....turkey. I'm using Meathead's "recipe" to do my turkey. This far, the gravy smells PHENOMENAL. Turkey just hit 80 degrees. No, this is NOT on the new mini. Full-size drum for this.

Looks good so far...but it's just above room temperature and you're already taking pics? LOL
Leave the lid on and let that bird cook!
I actually followed Meathead's instructions (not about the pictures). AT the 1-hour mark I removed the foil from the drum ands and wings and I added a quart of boiling water to the "gravy" in the roasting pan under the turkey.
Snapped a few quickies then and lid went on immediately.
Nice bird, definitely a good close to 2010 :clap2: (or ring in 2011)
