Smoking this weekend.
Gonna smoke a whole turkey and a ham, and some ribs. I love it when the smoker gets a decent load!

I was lucky enough to chow down at Tommy Kendall's on Saturday. Babybacks, hot links & turkey drums. Everything was outstanding. The turkey legs were really fantastic. I was a bit wary, I bought my first turkey leg at the Mammoth Mtn. brewfest this summer, it was terrible, so tough & sinewy I only ate about 10% of it. Tommy took his time, brined them, smoked 'em slow, then crisped them up on the Weber grill while brushing them with sauce.


Met Bigmista too. Great guy. Had a bunch of fun talking food with him. We waddled up to Tommy's at the exact same time, 12 packs in hand of course. Finding Tommy's was easy. He was waiting out front for us.

Got a 22 pound chuck roll and a couple of butts for this weekend.
Cherry smoke, a couple of cigars and JD, good weekend.
