UDS is completed...going to season it Monday and cook on it Tuesday. Any suggestions on what to season it with? If I could figure out how to post pics i would...I'm a technological dummi!

I took a can of good old fashioned lard, wiped a good coating on the inside, and ran a load of charcoal.

Spray it with pam, light it up and throw some ribs in it .:cool:

you can rub it with a paper towel full of vegetable oil as well. lots of choices....
may as well cook something while you season the thing, won't hurt anything.

I seasoned mine with the first cook. I didn't see a reason to go to any extra trouble and season it before I cooked on it. You season cast iron to seal the pores so your food won't stick. You aren't going to be cooking on the part of the drum you are seasoning. So I am not sure what benefit it offers.
