"Extreme Smoker" in the works

We are in the process of designing our own smoker and should have CAD drawings middle of next week or so on the new "Extreme Smoker". Rough dimensions will be 24wx30dx52+/- with legs/tires. 5 shelves standard with the capability to add 5 more, 2" insulation and with our intake/exhaust (guru/stoker friendly) design it's all self contained with welded seams. No leaking here! Also comes with permanent stainless steel water pan.

I hoping the first one will be complete and tested by end of Oct. I will post more info as far as pricing and additional options later this month. Once that info is posted we will start taking pre-orders. Please contact me directly for more information.

Any artists renderings you can share?

Not yet, I'll post more info as we get through the design.

First round of prints complete for the new "Extreme Smoker", a couple of modifications to do, but I'm really liking what I see.:-D

Charcoal or pellet fired?

getyourrubonbbq 10-08-2010 07:48 AM

It's gonna be charcoal/wood JD. This smoker will have a footprint of 26"wX34"DX55" H including wheels and legs. Going for a max shelf capacity of 10 shelves 3" a part. Standard it comes with 5 that are 6" a part.

Cool...sounds like a good sized smoker. Any chance of a sneak peak at the Jack? Perhaps a day trip out to Cordova? I'm in the market for a capacity pit this off season...

I hoped to have it ready for the Jack, but not sure it will happen in time. As soon as we get closer I'll be posting photos of it.

Permanent water pan? Not removeable for cleaning? Will it be gravity feed or offset? What about insullation...double wall? I know...be patient. Looking forward to seeing what you have come up with.

Permanent water pan, not a big fan of pans full/half full of renderings and water after a cook to have to deal with getting out without a big mess. There will be a valve for draining and looking at an optional valve to fill as needed. Unit is completely surrounded (tops, sides & bottom) with 2" high temp insulation and is a vertical style. I can't give away much more:tape: but I think I did:redface:

Will it be able to hold 350 degrees for 6 hours? I`m a high heat kinda guy...;0)
