A unique GC walk
Every contest has its distinguishing characteristics and little quirks that make it different from every other weekend on the BBQ circuit. In Pueblo, Colorado, the contest is held on the historic Arkansas Riverwalk and tradition holds that the winner has to jump into the river. Some of the trophies are actually TOWELS embroidered with "Grand Champion" -- the expectation is clearly that somebody's going to be getting wet.
Garry Howard of thesmokering.com sent this video to us today -- his son Ben was the photographer. That's a walk that we'll remember for a long time. http://www.divaherself.com/funny/shiner.gif http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuFUaean6CA |

That is awesome! At the contest in Lenexa Kansas 2 weekends ago I told Will if we win we are jumping in the lake! Finished 14th out of 195. It was so freaking hot that it would have felt great to only win a GC but jump in and cool off would have been worth it!
