turkey fryer

Anyone have any info on the Infra red turkey fryers? Wanting to get some reviews/experienced views on how they do. I am looking to use it for chicken wings and not having to buy oil could save some $$$$.

I've never done wings...have done turkey, ham and beef. I love my Big Easy.

I have a Big Easy out on the Patio that you can have- just come and get it.

I bought it because basically I am a BIGGO WHUSS about dropping poultry into a boiling pot of oil heated by an open flame. Figured that if I could get the same flavor without the aditional fire insurance -what the hey.
Bottom line is - you might as well put that bird in the oven and save the dinero for more beer.

It does cook evenly and all that but the flavor and texture of boiled in oil bird just ain't there.

Just one humble dumas opinion- YMMV
