Texas Fire Pit Chili and Stew.....(Prono)
Well, nice fall day. Looked more like spring actually.:-D So I decided to get the fire pit going with some peeecan and put another layer of seasoning on the DO's. I made a (beanless, though I love beans in my chili) brisket chili and a sausage, potato, and collard stew. Also had a few brews and just basically hung out in the backyard listening to some tunes.

Farking fall weather in the Southwest. Gotta love it! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2564/...4f9ba1a9_o.jpg One DO on. Just heating up some water to make some red chile puree. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3071/...b0316e7a_o.jpg Getting fatty meats ready to brown them up! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3513/...d8d90b59_o.jpg Top: bacon and onions for the chili. Bottom: polish, brats, and onions for stew. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3536/...e00e0953_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2433/...542b9b17_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2683/...22d6cba4_o.jpg Chopped point went in and first dump of spices too. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3470/...fea163b0_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2611/...23728271_o.jpg Fingerling taters for the stew. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2573/...a93f57b8_o.jpg Gotta hydrate myself! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2771/...5966d7b402.jpg A bubbling and concentrating! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2474/...98559f70_b.jpg Texas chili!
