The shipping isin't bad either Rob.

Keeps the meat warm but doesn't dry it out like chafers or hot plates.

I use the same ones as BBQ Bubba----that is when electricity is available. I hate the smell of sterno. I also have a small steam table that runs off of 110 electricity.

Can you use the disposable full sheet pans in that unit?

You can, but not the cheapies, they'll collapse and fall in.....or so i've been told.

blues_n_cues 08-24-2009 07:01 AM

even in regular chafing pans the cheapie hotels(1/2 pans) fall in,or fall in partially so i use so foil wedges.

Blues, I think this is the one you saw at Walmart but at BB&B.

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...16063665&RN=73

Almost the same price as the Pro one listed here but with pans (but the really small useless plans). Plus it has only 1/3 of the power of the other model listed, although depending on where you're drawing power that may be a plus or minus.

Just something to add to the thread for any future searches.

blues_n_cues 08-24-2009 10:02 AM

thats pretty close to the link i had but i think they were made by GE.
it still wouldn't be bad for other things i do like the marinara sauce & hot fudge.

Bbq Bubba 08-24-2009 10:12 AM

Remember, if the trays aren't stainless, HD won't approve of them.

Same ones I use and use a deep Perferated Pan under my disposables to keep from falling into well. http://www.webstaurantstore.com/4-fu.../92230043.html
