Whole Hog Pricing
Dear Catering Brothern ... I have not gotten one reply to my Whole Hog pricing delemia. Let me state it another way, has anyone sold a slow smoked whole hog for pick-up/drop-off only in the 100 - 120 lb dressed range? If so, what did you charge? I will figure my on-site labor on top of the hog charge.

I would charge 500 pit fee for you setting up there cooking it on site and breaking down. I would charge 10 a pound for the pig. good luck
|
Thanks

I would charge $600 for a 100 lb hanging weight pig, drop & go. Add $500 to cook and serve on site. Add $100 to stuff it. Stuffing it is a very good idea.

we charged $400 for a 70lb provided by client...on 4th of July. on site prep, cook & serve.

We get $600 - 800 for a 100 lb pig cooked onsite set on a tray for a pig pickin. Pretty easy money.

Thanks everyone for the pricing advice. I got the Gig, and ended up Quoteing $1000 for Cooking at home a 100 lb pig and pulling and serving for 2 hours on-site.
BTW = Found out the difference on naming is a pig is up to 125lb hanging weight and a hog is 125lb plus hanging weight. Thanks again for your help... |
We get between 600-800 pulled and served and 800-1000 if it's self serve on the grill.

Is hanging weight the dressed weight ready to cook?
