I need a good coffee rub, was it commercial or home made?

I mixed up a coffee rub a few weeks back for a brisket. I thought it turned out really good.

Chille Coffee Rub

1/4 cup Ground Coffee
2 Ancho Chilles
2 Tbsp black pepper
1/4 cup turbinado sugar
1/4 cup salt
2 tsp chipotle powder
2 tsp corriander
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp cocoa powder
2 tsp cumin
1 oz dried porcini mushrooms

Not to derail, but how does it not come out gritty? Not like the coffee grounds dissolve.

The Coffee soften up as it takes on the juices and then forms a crust. I've crusted hamburgers and steaks with home roasted coffee.

My second favorite coffee rub comes out only every spring at Trader Joes. A good sized can is only $3! So look for it pretty soon for this season. I've tried six and this one does stand above.
