Weber Model 1880
Anyone have an idea what a original Model 1880 in fair shape would be worth?

sliding_billy 11-27-2013 08:37 AM

I would probably pay $75-$100 depending on what "fair" means.

Any pics? That would be better for us to judge condition/price.

I looked at the smokers. The 18.5" was a 1989. Both were poor to very poor condition. Both missing water pan, 1880 missing charcoal ring, and 18.5" need a new door. Both needed top handle. Guy wanted $300 for the pair. Said thanks and left.

Some dude on St.louis craigslist has a 3 year old 18.5 WSM.....wants $275

Wouldn't just sell 1880

Cayman1 11-27-2013 04:42 PM

Nope. He wasn't even aware Weber came out with the 14.5" this year. Tried to impress me with his Weber knowledge until I read the date code from the 18.5" and told him the year it was made. Little did he know he was dealing with a Weber nerd!

I listed off the parts each needed and the cost which took him back somewhat. Maybe at least now he will be a little more reasonable with the next person that looks.

These are on CL for Springfield,Mo if interested.
