Depends on your palette. They all taste great on ribs. I would use a salt based rub or kosher salt as a second layer.

cooking for the football team, got to give them that extra kick.

Cherry, that is my go to on ribs. I get it up a bit with some black pepper, as I feel it can take a little more of that aromatic edge

I have and use all 3 but Sweet Seduction is my fav/go to rub but you cant go wrong with any of Stephs rubs

bbqcoach 10-16-2013 06:35 AM

Should i apply some EVO or worcestershire before rub or just coat with rub.

nucornhusker 10-16-2013 07:33 AM

Either Sweet Seduction or Cherry are great on ribs, or both at the same time as I often do.

Only if you are in a rush and don't have time to sweat the ribs for 30 minutes or so (ambient temp. matters).

bbqcoach 10-16-2013 09:20 AM

How about applying rub overnight with kosher salt .

Big Poppa 10-16-2013 09:28 AM

careful with the salt and the rub overnight if you go too crazy you can end up with 'hammy' ribs

bbqcoach 10-16-2013 11:20 AM

16 hours until cook time , going with the cherry.
