That's a great idea. I'm assuming the heat from the fire turns the ice cream into a liquid inside the lemon? Gonna have to try this soon

Neat idea, thanks for sharing.

Just brown the meringue and serve, simple desert.

No, the point is to not melt the ice cream. Like baked Alaska.

Looks great. How did it taste?

pmad 07-23-2013 08:43 AM

I don't understand the point.

You're not going to get any flavor in 3-4 min.
You risk melting the ice cream.

You're better off using a torch and skipping the Q

Dreggs 07-23-2013 08:50 AM

me either

Phubar 07-23-2013 08:51 AM

I'd make some smoked lemonade Phirst so you'll get some BBQ Phlavour in there.

Does it really need to make sence, or can we just put anything we like on the grill. I think its just fun to throw some ice cream on the grill and suprise your guests.

I don't mind it not having any smoke flavour, but ofcoarse there is always room for improvement.

Using a blow tourch is not a great idea, it will probably burn your merengue and tis way its gets a little browning and crisp.
