I was walking the aisles at our local Edward's Food Giant in search of a brisket the other day. Haven't cooked one on the uds in some time so thought I'd pick one up. Gulp! $55.00...so I kept waking down the aisle toward the chicken and picked up a few yard birds for a total of $20. Had some family coming over and figured BCC would get the nod for the gathering. Not much of a chicken fan but to my amazement, the BCC was delicious! Just used some olive oil, Buddy's Seasoning, half a Dr. Pepper (sorry, only bottled beer in stock at home) and some cherry chunks in my uds. Cooked at 300 til internal temp was 165. Pulled em off and then carved em up. Yumm!! Even my dad, the BBQ snob enjoyed em. Threw on a venison sausage for good measure. Ehem....sorry for the upside down pron. couldn't figure out how to invert it on my iphone.
