Got my Brisket Slicer today ! Actually, it was in germany for almost 4 weeks already but the zombies at the customs decided to put it in a corner for 3 1/2 weeks before even sending a note that it has to be picked up. %&§%$ !
Anyway, thats an awesome knife, cant wait to hit a brisket with it. Thanks for shipping it over the pond.
And if you think its totally nuts to import a Wusthof Knife to germany - i agree :loco::crazy::oops: But thats just how we BBQ´er are, right ? :mrgreen:
Have you had any beef in this country that tastes good enough to make hamburger and if so what is the name of the cut in German
The best would be Chuck, wich is called Schulter or Hals in german.
Metro or other wholesale stores even have american beef chuck roasts wich are awesome for burgers. Just get a good grinder
Ive also used Briskets before. Grinding some Bacon and mixing it with the beef also gives more fat and flavour.
