Grilled Corned Beef and Cabbage Wrap and a new toy.

I tried out a new toy awhile back, it's called a Char-Broil Grill Top Infuser.
It is for gas or charcoal grills and can be used for smoking.
This was my first time using it, I just steamed some corned beef to see how it works.

It has a base..

basket..

grate...

I filled the base with beer and seasonings..

then let it cook on the grill on medium low uncovered for a couple of hours.. I added wood to the grill and wanted the meat to catch a bit of smoke.

then covered and let it steam until tender...

slathered some napa cabbage with bacon drippings then grilled.

made a chipotle thousand island sauce..

spread the sauce on a large tortilla, added swiss cheese and the grilled cabbage...

added the corned beef..

brushed with oil and back on the grill..

They were pretty tasty. :)

Next I'm going to try the infuser with wood chips and see what it does.

Thanks for looking!

You are killing me with that wrap!

That looks tasty. Since I just bought a Corn Beef Brisket, I have to ask if you were able to taste any smoke flavor?

Thanks! Yes I could taste the smoke. I just added pellets straight to the grill and closed the lid.
The infuser came with a bag of wood chips. I think I'll try placing them in the bottom and smoking some fish or veggies next.
Good luck with your corned beef, hope you take pics! :becky:

Cool! That's a LOT like my stove top indoor smoker except there are no slots on top of mine. Similar concept though.

Thanks Guerry! I have not tried a stove top one. Didn't know for sure how they work. Thanks for the info!
