Depends on the cut.
Filet I like blue or rare.
Rib eye on the bone medium rare .
Medium to well done is never my choice, but sometimes a host serves it so you eat it and go yum yum.

Between rare and medium rare for me, please.

Nice post. My neighbor order filet, well done and then puts A1 on it........... I just SMH and say, at least I'm not paying for it. I like mine rare with a real hot sear on the outside.

None of the above...

I prefer mine 90% pink throughout with a nice 5% char on both sides... i.e. reverse seared

Medium Rare for me and for some reason Sirloin is my go to steak.

With the understanding that I refuse very little red meat. :mod:

BIGBrandon2785 02-19-2013 03:59 PM

medium rare

El Ropo 02-19-2013 04:02 PM

What Al said. Reverse seared with perfect pink throughout and a nice char on the outer edge. Honestly, none of those pics look appealing to me.

I like med rare on most cuts of meat. The rest of my family like their's completely charred and destroyed. ..lol..

I guess I need to adjust my previous statement. Having found the "Caveman" method a few weeks back, I gotta say that is the best steak I, have ever had. Nice charred outside with a barley warm rich red to pinkish center for about 90% of the steak. It was delicious.

I like to chase the cow and take bites out of it as it runs away from me.

How do you manage to keep the steak sauce from dripping off?
