I have been given a really old fridge and was thinking of converting it into a smoker. I am thinking of either trying to adapt it into a gravity feed smoker or into something like a really big UDS except with a big door.
I already am aware of things like galvanizing on the racks and making sure to replace anything plastic, but any advice on which direction to take it and tips on what works and what doesnt would be greatly appreciated.
So? Opine away, and thanks in advance.
I've made a couple with a firebox in the bottom that worked ok but you've really got to seal them up well. There's a guy in Huron that made a gravity feed setup on one with a frame under the whole works. I don't know how well it works but it should be fine that way.
