Yard Buurd!

The weather has been nice the last few days here in VA so I decided to cook up some drumsticks and thighs. I fired up the kettle and used a mix of apple and cherry for smoke. Thighs are my favorite part of the chicken and always cheap! I used plowboys yardbird on most, I really like that stuff and I think it adds a nice color too. The camera phone pictures I took just don't do it much justice. The skin was nice and crispy while the inside was juicy and tender. Enough babbling...

Those look great! Apple and cherry always go into my fowl cooks. (Last time I added a little hickory as well.) :thumb:

I would never turn away anyone who shows up with meat and the skills to cook it. Any time, bro!
