Knife deal at Woot.com
There is a knife set over at Woot today. I'm not a expert, so hopefully someone else can chime in about the quality of these.
Shun Classic 3pc Set DMS382: 4" Paring, 6" Utility, 7" Hollow Ground Santoku |
funky looking. No idea if these are good or not.
The hollow ground santoku is superb. I like it even better than the wusthof chefs knife.
The santoku is a good knife, and I love Shun but I can't see you using the utility knife and paring knife that much.
I could use some more knives!
Wow, usually don't see the big ones on sale. I've been drooling over that utility knife and you can't have too many paring knives. And fark, we already have two Santoku's. We really could use a third. I might have to get another knife block!
My next knives are going to be dishwasher safe
I love the way damascus steel looks. Shun makes a very nice product.

That link was blocked here at work. Here's a more direct one if anyone else has that problem:

Wait...should we hide this thread from Ronelle?

Fark, this has been haunting me. We really don't need knives. I showed the webpage to my wife, thinking she'd talk some sense into me, and all I get is, "oooo, I really like the paring knife," and "That utility knife would be great for tomatoes."
What can I say? I'm weak. :tsk: (in for one). |
