Cross hatches on chicken or burgers?
I usually only see them on steak and swordfish. Does anyone do this?

I dont worry about it on chicken or burgers, just steaks.

I don't but, I have seen them. Too much bother for me normally.

All the time! On everything I cook. Grill grates are the best, work on any pit. Burgers, steaks or seafood.

I second that, GrillGrates are amazing. Well worth the investment.

They help a lot especially if you can't find non-skid mayo.

I usually do it to anything I grill, just looks "pretty".
