Pizza Help
I tried to make some pizza on the weber gas grill using a cast iron pan.
I have front and back burners so it is hard to do indirect heat. Ended up burning bottom of crust yet insides of deep dish pizza wasn't done yet. Any suggestions? I was thinking of getting a brick to raise the pan and then not worry about indirect heat. |
Yes raise it up but don't block the pan. Kinda like a hover grill
|
Thanks
It got me thinking. A couple of empty soup cans would do the trick. Like a tripod. |
yep, raise the stone. what temp are you cooking at?

Try putting it on a few pavers to act as a heat shield.
|
Pavers=bricks?
That's what I was going to originally try. Just have to go get some. |
I would get fire bricks. The pavers are not designed for high heat. Look for the fire bricks at a place that sells fire places or wood stoves.

Thanks.

Yes bricks. Ive used them and had no issues and they are cheaper than fire bricks.
