Marine Vet here. It was an honor to serve my country. It brings tears to my eyes to sit here and even try to describe my love and respect for fellow Vets. Thanks to each and every one of you. Jason

I have to say that I have never had friends since like I had in the Army. Greatest people i have ever known................ I have really been impressed over the last number of years how much thanks people give to veterans and they {veterans} appreciate those who appreciate and respect them. Thanks to those who give thanks.....................

We had our annual Veterans Day Ceremony at work today. Two uniformed reservists performed the moving ceremony. Thanks to all Veterans who have served this country.

On sunday I went to 11am mass (long night on Saturday ).

I have been to some Veteran's day events, but I enjoy spending the day with my family in rememberance of the days I have missed with them because of my service. Sunday was a special and memorable day for me. At the end of mass as father was winding down, the last thing he did was ask for all veterans to stand. I stood up slowly and looked around, nobody else was standing except for a couple of older fella's who were either Vietnam or older. Father asked for everyone in the audience to raise hands and then said a blessing. For me this was vere moving. I have stood at the back of the endzone during an Iowa State vs Texas game with the entire Jack Trice Stadium cheering crazy for me, but I have never been more moved than this sunday morning. I cannot explain it, but it was awesome. It was heartfelt by father and very thoughtful.

I love this country and have been very proud to serve it for the last 17+ years of my life. I have spend 24 months in Afghanistan and have met some amazing people from around the world. I have seen some horrible things and have seen the most amazing things. I have missed numerous weddings, birthday, mother's days, father's days, Christmas's and the birth of my Second child. I would not change it for the world.

Thank you to all who have served and I look forward to serving with you in the future.
