Dyin' for a good steak!...with pron...

Had a hankerin' for some protein.

Went to BJ's picked up a Ribeye about an 1" thick.

Seasoned that cut up with EVOO, rubbed with some Simply Marvelous Sweet & Spicy and let it sit.

Got my small up to about 550°.

Then she hit the grate along with a naked Bubba Burger for my 8 year old.

Here is the plated cut, served with mini Spinach Pie and a cheesy, broccoli, cauliflower and carrot mix.

Bubba burgers with Onion are my favorite to keep in the freezer. They grill up in no time and are pretty juicy.

How did the sweet rub work on the steak versus the usual simplicity most advocate?

I think it helped with the char that you see. honestly, this sob was so juicy. I can't say that it affected the meat that much, but I know I didn't have to use any salt or pepper. now that I think about it, the char or bark was delicious.

I will try it again!
