How do you Roadside Vend?
How often do you vend?
I gotta work around my real job so we vend two days a week. This month it's Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Plus an occasional event if it's gonna have a lot of people and is not too far away.
As well as a catering job here & there.
What are your hours?
We open at 11am and have stay out till around 6-7pm.
How many items do you carry?
Pulled pork is hot around here so we always have it. We rotate a second meat on a weekly basis but no matter what it is, it never does as good as the pulled pork sammich. A few sides and drinks rounds out the menu.
How much food are you taking out?
A case of pork butts gets us through the two days we vend.
Are you happy with your numbers?
We all want to make the money but as long as we are covering the grocery bill, fuel bill, and putting few dollars in the bank we're happy.

im interested in knowing where you get a case of butts and how many butts are in a case? im thinking of starting my own business this year here in arizona. where do you buy your supplies at sams club cosco?
I figured if I was gonna ask about yours, I'd tell ya bout mine.
I get a case of butts at Sam's for $1.38 a pound. Cases usually have 8 butts and weigh around 70 pounds or so.
