My Baby is Ready for the Big Dance
Built my smoker last year, got around to cleaning it up and putting a new dress on her this year. Just in time for the first competition of the year over Memorial Weekend.
First step was to sand blast her clean: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...3-24133003.jpg Then 2 coats of high temp primer. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...3-24141359.jpg Then i sprayed the frame with Rust Oleum truck bed liner: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...5-12200655.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...5-12200715.jpg I sprayed the stacks and handles\door edges with high temp grill paint, then taped it all off and sprayed the first coat of paint http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...5-13152208.jpg 4 coats of paint later and she was ready for her unveiling. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...5-14182159.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...5-14182242.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...5-14182146.jpg |

Didn't intend for it to be Gamecock colors, but now that we have Stephon Gilmore on the Bills I guess it' ok. Yes I purchased the whole thing at Wal Mart, how did you guess? Definitely need to do something with the wheels. They need a good cleaning, but I'm thinking of having them powder coated black too. |
