MOINK (part II) pr0n (and a few turkey pieces) ala Little Dick
Greetings,
I whipped up a second batch o' MOINK balls today, this time for a SECOND Thanksgiving at the in-laws. I started with smaller meatballs. http://images5a.snapfish.com/2323232...38534%3Anu0mrj This time, I hope the IMBAS notices that these are BEEF meatballs (plus plenty of other stuff...geez!). http://images5a.snapfish.com/2323232...%3A24259ot1lsi I rolled 'em in rub... http://images5a.snapfish.com/2323232...39234%3Anu0mrj ...and wrapped 'em in bacon (this time I had toothpicks!)... http://images5a.snapfish.com/2323232...47934%3Anu0mrj I slathered sauce on them while they were finishing on the schmoke http://images5a.snapfish.com/2323232...27934%3Anu0mrj http://images5a.snapfish.com/2323232...%3A34%3Anu0mrj I kinda liked the last batch better. I finished those with sauce in a skillet and they were more "glazed." Oh, before the MOINKs, I threw the thighs/legs and wings from today's turkey (in the over, sorry!). I have no finished pictures, but they were pretty good. http://images5a.snapfish.com/2323232...39834%3Anu0mrj One half of he fire never really took. I also threw in an oven thermometer and was much better able to keep the fire at 250F. Thanks for lookin' and keep on smokin'! Little Dick |
