D.I.Y. turning your offset smoker to automatic pit
Look the last video, temperature fluctuation is +2.2 to -2.1 degree
Maximum change is 4.3C degree.
I set grill temperature at 160C.
Environmental temperature is 24C.
Grill size is 16" in diameter, and 20" in length, made from gauge 12 stainless steel.
Half hour later, temperature is more stable. Temperature fluctuation is less than 3 C.
This is done by a programmable P.I.D. thermostat.
NO household 110V current is needed.
It uses 12 V DC. a 4 A.H. gel battery can power it 20+ hours.
a 4 A.H. gel battery weighs less than 3 bls, and price is less than $10

If you have welder and steel plate, you can weld a burner by your self. Simply replace your fire box with this burner, then your pit will smoke your meat automatically for 10+hours.

If you do it for your personal use, you can ask drawing and know-how from me, I will send you for FREE.

If your purpose is commercial application, please contact for special permission
