Plastic shelves and PVC stack? Anyone else have problem with this?

It looks like a very nice smoker but who would use closet shelving? Why not go and get oven racks? Also not crazy about PVC stack.

Along with all of your concerns, I also wouldn't trust the plywood with all that glue in it. I'm sure i would leech out into the smoke and food.

I'd probably be ok with the wood, but not the plastic. PVC upper limit temp wise is 140F, don't even want to think about the plastics coated shelving....

I wonder if it was used as a cold smoker? I still wouldn't trust it.
