Hi all!

Hey gang! I've been learning from this board for a long time, but never have officially joined until recently. There is a ton of great info being shared here and I'm am excited to learn from you all! I live in Gardner KS, just south of KC and have lived in the KC area most of my life.

Main reasons for joining are to learn some tips for potentially turning BBQ into a bit of a side hustle. I know many people on here do/have done BBQ for a living, and would like to start learning that process. I have started to cook for friends and smaller things, but I want to make sure I do it the right way if I choose to start trying to expand it into an actual business.

Also, a friend and I have signed up for our first competition in the Spring, just for fun, so I'm curious to learn more about that side of BBQ as well.

I started my smoking meats lifestyle on a 22" Weber Kettle, and still love cooking on those today! I then was gifted as Masterbuilt 40" electric smoker, that actually turned out really good food (although I never loved cooking out it as much). Last year I got a 22" WMS that I have thoroughly been enjoying. And just a few weeks ago I bought my first stick burner... a large homemade job with a lot of history to it that means a lot to me. It was a cooker for many years in the town I went to college in, and was owned by a HOF football player at my University. The cooker has our Mascot painted on it, and I'm very proud to own it!

I look forward to learning from you all!
