Well as most of you know me, it's never too early to start planning our next Texas BBQ Brethren Bash for the Spring of 2020.
Reservations are in and paid!

Horse rentals? I guess it is Texas. Will Smitty be rolling in hot pulling Boom-Shuka-Lucka on horseback?
I definitely have this on my calendar and will try to get an extra day off, or two, afterwards for recovery purposes.

lol! That's funny, but mostly true!!!
I checked on the availability at the Lone Star Lodge and they are fully booked that Friday.
So I deleted the post I made. I will look for others close by.

I think there is another motel in Pilot Point.
Four Horsemen Travel Lodge.
Don't know much about it.
I think we had a few stay there before. :mrgreen:

Added to the calendar. I'm a maybe so far. Have to see what's going on at work once it get's closer. Airfare is reasonable so far, maybe it'll go down some more. While the central Texas bash is fun, I think I need to try out the north Texas bash.

It would be awesome to hang out with you again.

I'm out. CEO just announced our next merger is the weekend of March 20th. I missed the last merger for the Fall Bash. Too much money to pass on 2 in a row. Plus these banks are gonna be mine so it is not optional. Can't believe the luck. It's literally 2 days out of 365 and I hit both. On the bright side attendance should go way up once the word gets out that i won't be there. [emoji106]

Well, if life doesn't take a dump on me again and, work commitments don't catch me, I'm planning to go!

Closures
Jan. 6, 2020 - The following areas are closed due to lake flooding damage and repair projects:

* Some Isle du Bois Unit campsites are closed.

*The Isle du Bois Unit picnic area, swimming area and pavilions are closed due to flood repairs and construction in the day-use area. The fish cleaning station is open.

* The section of trails on the Greenbelt Park, south of Highway 428 to Highway 380, is closed due to past flood damage.

* Highway 380 Park is closed.

Should be open again when we need it but, FYI.
