Camp Chef Woodwind Question
Hello. I went in on halves with my brother and we purchased a Woodwind for my step-father in the summer of 2017. I just returned from a visit and was surprised to learn from him that he is under the impression that he is not supposed to exceed 325F on this grill. That didn't sound right to me so when I got home I downloaded the manual and can't find any reference to this. I was hoping that maybe there might be other Camp Chef Woodwind owners that could weigh in, here. Thank you.
P.S. He is reasonably satisfied with the grill in all other aspects. |
Camp Chef Woodwind Question
Not sure where that info came from. No reason you shouldn’t be able to take it to it’s max temp.
I have a 6 burner Camp Chef griddle and have called them a couple of times with questions. Great folks at CS. Give em’ a call and confirm :) 800.650.2433 |

I ran mine yesterday at 350 for about 3 hours. The dial temperature goes to 400 and on high I have hit close to 500.

Okay. I am afraid that I am guilty of not being a very good listener, originally. First, I called the nice folks at Camp Chef, got through right away, and not surprisingly they said no problem taking the grill past 325 F. I then called my step-father and he elaborated a little more. His reference to 325 F was to the warning that was printed on the packaging of the food temperature probe and also the insulated blanket we had purchased extra for him. So, the phrase, 'My Bad' comes to mind.
