Grilling chicken for the first time

ok guys, I normally do beer can chicken cuzs it's so easy, but I was wanting to do some bbq sauce'd grilled chicken for some friends in pieces. I know chicken BREAST is difficult to do because of the drying out factor. bascially which type of chicken is best for a grill and smoke night??

Bone in leg quarters
bone in breast
boneless thights,
boneless breasts (doubt)
etc....

Wife does boneless breasts on the gasser that come out nice and juicy. She marinades them for her and the kids and covers mine in Open Pit BBQ sauce.
Mmmm now you got me thinking about chicken B...ies:wink:

Yeah, what Smoothsmoke said. You'll never do a beer-can style again.

also got some chicken quarters and bone in split breasts for grilling and smoking tonight. (something quick and dirty along with some home made BBQ sauce)

Spatched cocked this a nice herby rub. Brine that bird for a while too.

For a night with the guys, I usually do bone-in thighs and whole wings. Short, sweet, and to the point kinda cook.
