Open Pit

Hey Brethren! I want to build a open pit. Does any one have any plans of any they have built. I like the look of Santa Maria pits.

Here is a link to Santa Maria style grill frame. You just have to build a pit around it. It could be as simple as few cinder blocks.

Here is good one I watched the other day from a Kentucky boy.

I am thinking of building a smaller version of the one pictured (owner that rig is Bill Shank of Arizona) or a hybrid version like a Grill Works Inc type.

Also Google "Santa Maria Grill Images" and you will get a ton of ideas (if thats the style of open pit you are looking for)
