Good day at Costco

Stopped at the Costco in Bend OR, on the way back from my last river trip. I was very happy at what I found.

I bought some ice, picked up a couple of these babies and brought them back.

This was our kitchen for the last two weeks. Sorry, the pic was taken before the post breakfast clean up.

I've had similar luck at local Costcos. Cooked one this week and will post pix early next week. Nice to find prime beef at a reasonable price. Now, if i could only find similar quality pork butt and ribs . . .

Found those at the local Costco last week. Don't think I've ever seen them there before. Third brisket in about 5 weeks, but it sure made for a nice family get together.

Nice score, have not seen them that price at my Costco for some time now.

angryelfFan 10-01-2016 05:33 AM

My favorite thing to get there.

mchar69 10-01-2016 10:26 AM

So, did you guys fish or what? 2 weeks with that kitchen seems like a long time!

dcimike125 10-01-2016 11:07 AM

My Costco is about as useful as a flashlight in the sunshine. Choice flats only and slim picking at best. But, that is the Northeast for you

Love your kitchen!
Everything tastes better cooked in those kitchens.

T.Mac 10-01-2016 12:13 PM

Wow, $2.79/lb for prime, congrats. Never seem to find deals like that at my Costco.

Doug S. 10-01-2016 12:54 PM

$2.89 for Prime here :) couple are going to hit the basket tomorrow :)

Yes, it was a fishing trip on the Deschutes

Great score on the beef Josh! I like the looks of your camp site too. Did you catch any fish?

R2Egg2Q 10-01-2016 01:10 PM

Nice find! Like you I stumbled upon the prime packers at a local Costco for $2.69/lb. I'm thinking they're temporarily stocking for the Rosh Hashanah holiday. I need more freezer space.

I bet nobody went hungry at the camp. Good score on the brisky.
