High Plains Naturiffic Ribeye - w/ Pr0n!

First off - Huge thanks to SirPorkalot and company for the hard work on this new "X-Salt." Along those lines, I'm greatly appreciative for inclusion in the small group trial... (just received the envelope yesterday).

It's been a mildly rough week out West. We've been dealing with pilot qualification issues, extra instruction and check rides for all my friends... Giving and receiving end for S-Dizzle. Nice to be on the back side of all that fun. *sigh*

That said... CINCHOUSE asked for steak and baked potato tonight. I tacked on the need for a really good salad (good greens with plenty of interesting stuff + blue cheese crumbles).

Picked up a good looking bone-in ribeye from Albertson's today. Hit it with Naturiffic's X-Salt, and let it rest before firing up the Vortex in the kettle. First time I've used the Vortex to cook a steak (to my recollection). 115F internal with multiple flips before a quick sear over the top the Vortex... then a 10 min rest.

Here come some photos.

CINCHOUSE took ONE bite of steak and stopped, looking at me. "Kudos to those salt people who sent you that sample!" Meanwhile, our 18 month old destroyed more steak in 5 minutes than she has in 3 weeks (and I've cooked a few steaks in that time)!

Simplicity. That's what X-Salt brings to the meal. It simply provides an opportunity for the meat to shine... and shine, it does!

I'll have to work on thoughts and ideas for names... but what it does is both important... and simple.

Thanks, John. I'll use this wonderful stuff on something else this weekend and harass you folks some more. Hollar at me via PM or whatnot if you need more info/have questions.

Kind regards,
Shadow
