Already Planning This Weekend's Cook
 

Okay Brethren, first post here and let me start by saying that this forum is by far the best source for BBQ knowledge on the internet. I've been lurking for several months trying to soak up as much of the BBQ goodness as possible. Now here's what I'm thinking about for this weekend. I have some friends coming over for football and I'm planning on smoking some spare ribs on the WSM and doing some Dougherty's style wings on the kettle. My question is about the wings. Do you think marinating the wings in Italian dressing and a little soy sauce prior to the cook will make a difference or is it just over kill? I have a tendency to overthink things and after reading a lot of posts on this forum, I am starting to buy into the KISS (keep it simple stupid) approach to BBQ. Any feedback would be appreciated and I know all you folks will want some pron of the cook so I will do my best to provide some.

I like italian dressing as a marinade. I think the oil will also help your wings to crisp up.
