Hi there -

I've been searching the internet and havent found anything too detailed, but I'm looking for detailed plans on converting a 120 or 250 gallon propane tank into a offset smoker, preferably reverse flow.

Anyone out there have plans they'd like to share. I'd be very grateful!

Thanks in advance.

Here is a good place to start Reverse flow cooker painted and first cook K.A.M made a real nice one, I plan to use it as a reference when I build my 500gal, good luck feel free to share some pic brotha:thumb: http://www.smokerbuilder.com/ is another good place to lurk around. What are some plans you have for yours?

What I will build.

I have a 2006 16'' Tandem trailer $700 bucks on CL and what I need is everything else like 500g cost me $75 bucks, insulated fire box steel is what cost and 10'' steel pipe stack, expanded metal, angle iron $8 bucks old bed frames from the dump all totaling in at $1,000 to 1,200 if I do reverse flow or just tuning plates. I would already have this moving if it wasn't for my company giving me the whole month of December off thank god for my savings I had to build this cause I got to dip into those for all my bills, presents etc.:mad2:

I'm currently using plans from http:www.smokerbuilder.com to build my tank smoker. The plans are very detailed with every measurement you will need. They aren't free but very worth the price.
