Nice list, I am still a little worked up about being less than a half-mile from Tyler's, #6, and not getting any BBQ

Get there it's great. Or are they closed?

Actually I had not eaten at a BBQ restaurant in Amarillo in many years until trying Tyler's a few days ago. Wife and I both were impressed.

I've eaten at Pecan Lodge (Dallas), Gatlins (Houston), and Fargos (Bryan) from the top 50 list and they were all some of the best BBQ I've ever had in that order. The brisket at Pecan Lodge is the best I've tasted.

That was my first trip to Texas and this was the first shot fired in the EPIC Landarc vs. BIL trip.

If only I had a few Thousand $ Blow Money and a month off work........

That's a good read. I still struggle with brisket so anyone who can cook it so consistently good deserves the kudos. Although I lost a little confidence in the author when they mentioned how easy it is to over cook the brisket and dry it out. I typically blame that on under cooking...

While I respect the list, if anyone is ever heading East on I-20 about 12 miles from the Louisiana state line, get off at the Waskom exit and take a left. Go up about a mile on your right. YUM.

How many you want to know about on I-20 to Dallas? How many you want to know about on I-30 and how many on I-10? The speed traps are mostly between Marshall and Longview.

And HEY! This is about good BBQ. What's up with the debil thang?
