UDS ball valve prices

Where do you guys get your ball valves for your UDS at a good price? All I can find it the $12-$15 range ad that seems high.

That sounds about right for a 1/2" brass valve.

Sweet, thanks bubba.

Hey being that you are a UDS parts expert. How bout good handles?

Meat Burner 03-01-2009 05:47 PM

Bubba's right Paul. Harbor Freight on south Campbell usually has them.

Thank Keith, I'm figuring on just making myself a new barrel as well. I think it will be easier to work with if I have a tight fitting system.

I purchased a 3/4" last week @TSC for $6.49. Everyday price.

I pay $12 for one 1" sweat ball valve with a true 1" opening but I'm getting them at cost. I'm sleeping with a woman who's family owns a plumbing and heating oil business.

(Wife MOD)
And yes, my heating oil and her truck's gasoline is free.

I paid 7ish for the harbor freight valve. Any reason not to use .75 or 1.0 brass gate valves?

Norcoredneck 03-02-2009 09:52 AM

You will be disappointed with 1/2". Won't get the temp unless you also have 2-3 more open nipples. Go 3/4"
