Anyone know more details about this? A sponsorship by Kingsford over 17 contest for $25k

It was announced tonight at the banquet that there are 16-17 contests to be announced that will be sponsored by Kingsford. Anyone finishing 1,2,3 in categories or overall that are using their product will receive additional monies. Grand champion will get $2000 if using their product.
The team getting the most points for those 16-17 contests will get $25k as the Kingsford TOY. I believe the same KCBS TOY points apply, but this is not otherwise tied to the KCBS TOY as it was described.

Does Kingsford have to be used exclusively or can it be supplemented with wood in any ratio ?
Are there rules on how it will be enforced at each contest or will it be the honor system ?

I read that as well. MIM did this a few years ago with Cattlemans' BBQ sauce, if you used it on your entry and you won they matched the winnings.

Todd, thought he said the winner if using Kingsford gets an extra $1000 and just points for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd...was drinking a bit :lol: Looking forward to the rules getting published Might have to mix some in with the sticks if it counts... Might help the draw at the tour stops. It was great meeting you and hope you have a great 2010!
