KCBS Elections are getting serious

I got a card in the mail yesterday from John Markus, like one of those political cards you get around election day, asking for my vote in the Board of Directors election. Wow. I guess KCBS is hitting the big time!

I'm not saying this is a bad thing -- just surprised to see a board candidate go to the expense of preparing a full color glossy mailer. That could not have been cheap. John seems very serious about the opportunity, and from what I gathered would certainly make a fine addition to the Board of Directors.

Perhaps we need to create a Brethren PAC for Poobah & other Brethren candidates?

I was curious about how JM got my home address... I wasn't aware KCBS was giving out that information for public use...

Yep, they even give it to contest organizers, I get stuff from contests all over the country and I have only competed in Michigan!!

Email 'em. I've gotten myself taken off of several mailing lists that way. Postage isn't cheap. Besides, I like to think I'm boosting my mail-carrier's earnings. He doesn't have to worry about me contributing to potential back problems from lugging all the extra (expletive sanitized) which goes directly, and unread I might add, into my recycling bin, anyway.

Figure it out, and let us all know, will ya?
